Alto-Shaam is allowing its customers to control their ovens remotely with the new ChefLinc system.
The cloud-based software lets owners control their ovens via a dashboard that can be accessed via a PC or mobile app.
The company claimed that the product has released just in time for operators to implement even greater social distancing measures.
With the ChefLinc remote oven management software, an Alto-Shaam statement said that chefs can “create, manage and distribute recipes to ovens through the cloud”.
Jeff McMahon, senior director of product management at Alto-Shaam, said: “One of the biggest challenges that all operators now face is how to ensure the highest consistency and quality throughout their restaurants and foodservice operations.
“ChefLinc puts operators in total control of their equipment from anywhere they are, with intuitive recipe management and data driven insights that enable streamlined processes and greater consistency.”
The product allows recipes to be pushed to an individual kitchen or oven, or to all linked units at once.
It also highlights any servicing needs for each oven.
